Since co-founding MISSION in 1984, Dorothy Curran has developed the firm’s relationships with clients ranging from MassMutual, AIG, John Hancock, Cigna, CIT, Citicorp, NatWest, Fleet Bank, Hoffmann-La Roche, Whitehall-Robins and IQS to the Ford Foundation. Building on her consumer and business markets expertise, she has guided the evolution of MISSION’s cross-functional capabilities in strategy, marketing, research, sales, communications, technology, process improvement and knowledge management.
As a project leader and team-builder, she works closely with internal and external clients to match strengths and capabilities to unmet needs, preferences and expectations.
Before the launch of MISSION, Dorothy Curran was an independent marketing and research consultant to an array of financial services and communications clients, including New York Life, SNET, GE Credit, High Technology Magazine and Media Review. Earlier, she held management positions in the professional and consumer magazine (circulation) and computer (software marketing and training) industries. She has been a speaker at direct marketing industry and entrepreneurial forums, had featured articles published in DM News and Telemarketing Magazine and is listed in Who’s Who in the East, Who’s Who Among Emerging American Leaders and Who’s Who Among American Women. She has a B.A. with Honors from Wellesley College.
